Yes we did elect the first non-white man to the highest nation in our office.
Yes we did take over the majority of seats in Congress.
Yes we did have the largest voter turnout in 40 years.
Yes we did have the largest young and new time voter turn out ever.
Yes we did restore the world's faith in our type of democracy.
But...
Yes we did say that only a man and a woman can get married.
It was a bittersweet day.

Yes we did destroy our republic in favor of a socialistic democracy.
Yes we did submit ourselves to liberal fascism once again.
Yes we did say that our freedoms aren't really important.
Yes we did agree to stay in two wars we shouldn't be fighting.
2 steps forward, 1 step back. The arc of justice only bends towards freedom, it doesn't offer a direct route.
